@andersharrisson the solution looks good and clean to me.
I would like to understand, though, why when we request the key for the ubuntu-ics server it comes with the extension .gpg
(with .public
at the very end) but its content is actually related to .asc
extension. As far as I know, .gpg
stands for pure binary key file whilst .asc
stands for ASCII key file format.
For Zabix, it is .key
extension but it is actually ASCII as well.
I know they are just file extensions, but is there any particular reason for that or we can just ignore the file extension and consider only what the file indeed is?
My main concern about it is that some key files, as far as I understand, needs to pass through dearmor process, for instance, the VirtualBox repository key:
sudo gpg --yes --output /usr/share/keyrings/oracle-virtualbox-2016.gpg --dearmor oracle_vbox_2016.asc
and maybe it will be a little bit confusing with different file extensions. Perhaps this file extension is something that is on the repository server side?
README has a typo, it should be trace
instead of `trade`
