In EPICS base, the architecture powerpc64-linux was added in this commit. However, it interferes with our use of it at ESS. Some discussion was had as to whether or not we should simply adopt the architecture ppc64 at ESS entirely, but for simplicity, for the time being, we will just revert this change.
