Issue reference / description

ECDC-3756 (part of it): as this branch has existed for some time, I propose merging it the way it is right now, then I'll add the metrics to the remaining modules in a new branch and pull request.

This renames the Kafka metric called produce_fails in some modules to produce_errors for consistency. We will need to update dashboards that show this metric.
