Planning a Gitlab change Operating System from the Centos OS to Ubuntu 22.04 on the 28th March between 8:30-13:00 expect interruptions to the service and/or read only access.

This prevents a race condition resulting in a crash when the program
shuts down and deletes mutexes etc before the callback has issued its
final ss_wakeup call.
